In our historic 150th anniversary year, the HPA is delighted to confirm that England will play Brazil for the Coronation Cup on International Day at Guards Polo Club on 26 July 2025.
This will be the fourth time that the teams have faced each other in this match, with England victorious in 1996, 2001, and 2011. Brazil has an otherwise strong record in international polo, with three World Championship titles in 1995, 2001, 2004 and equalling Argentina’s record of eight medals in the World Championship series.
Jose Kablin, President of the CBP, was delighted to accept the invitation and said: “The Brazilian Polo Confederation is honoured to accept the invitation; for Brazil it is undoubtedly an opportunity to play on the best polo fields in England with the best English polo players.”

This year’s match is made even more special as it falls during the HPA’s 150th anniversary – a momentous milestone in the history of polo in England. The Coronation Cup has long been a highlight of the global polo calendar, and this year looks to be no exception. Guards provides an outstanding setting for International Day and we look forward to welcoming spectators to Smith’s Lawn for what will undoubtedly be a landmark occasion.”
International Day will be hosted once again at Guards Polo Club, with a variety of tickets and hospitality options on offer. With General Admission from £40 and hospitality from £240, this is an event not to miss! The opening match of the day will be the hotly-contested Whitbread Tankard played between Young England, a rematch of the fantastic game played in 2024.
