With two weeks to go to the 2026 Arena International, we’re thrilled to confirm the teams who will battle for the title in the 16th running of the Bryan Morrison Trophy at the All England Polo Club, Hickstead.
England will be captained by the experienced Matt Perry (8), making his first appearance in the match. He will be joined by Jack Hyde (8), who is a staple feature here having play in every match since 2022. Jack will be joined for the first time by brother Josh Hyde (5), who becomes the third member of the Hyde family to play here, with father Chris having racked up seven appearances for five wins from 2010-2016.
Team USA will be lead by Tommy Biddle Jr. (8), one of the world’s most experienced arena players, who will make his fifth visit to Hickstead in 2026. He will play alongside Felipe Viana (8), who was part of the team on their last appearance in 2023. Ian Schnoebelen (4) makes his debut here, fresh from victory in the 2025 US Arena Open.
On their last visit, it was the England side who emerged victorious, defeating the American team 19-13 over four chukkas. England will be keen to get their hands on victory again in 2026, having lost out to Ireland in 2024 and Argentina in 2025, with both matches going into extra time and the win taken by a ‘Golden Goal’.
The day will open with a Schools & Universities Polo Association (SUPA) game, as Great Britain take on the USA in this warm-up match; a great opportunity to spot some future stars as six of the brightest young arena polo talents take to the stage.
