With less than a week to go until the 2026 Arena International at the All England Polo Club, Hickstead, we’re excited to confirm the teams that will play in the opening match which sees a Great Britain team organised by the Schools & Universities Polo Association (SUPA) go up against a USA collegiate team.
Four players have been selected for each teaming, playing in a round robin over four chukkas, with only three players from each team in action at any one time, giving more players an opportunity to experience the thrill of playing at this prestigious event.
Lining up for Great Britain as captain is Robbie Slatter (3), who made his Young England debut in the Buckmaster in 2025 and has played up to 12-goal in the outdoor season. Robbie represents the University of Exeter and will be joined by Bruno Bradshaw (2), playing for Rugby School, who won here last year in the opening match of the day. Angus Smail (1) makes his debut here for Radley College, and the team is rounded out by Ava Greenland (0) for Seaford College, who switched to polo from showjumping.
For the USA team, Will Mudra (4) takes up the captaincy after intercollegiate success in 2023 and 2025. He will be joined by Kelsey Bray (1), a sophomore at the University of Virginia, Luke Howe (1), a junior at Montana State University, and Nicole Bailey, a senior at California Polytechnic. The USA players have plenty of intercollegiate experience under their collective belts and look to be a strong challenge for the young team from Great Britain.
Both matches will be livestreamed on HPA TV, with the opening match starting at 11.45am and the England v USA international test match for the Bryan Morrison Trophy kicking off at 2pm.
Tickets are just £8 when booked in advance, or £10 on the gate, and include access to the Clubhouse bar serving delicious food and drink all day. Click here for more info and to book yours!
