The teams for the Olympic Trophy, played by England v Argentina on 6 June 2025 have been confirmed. For England, Max Charlton (6) will captain Jack Hyde (5) and Milly Hine (2) for this unique arena-style match played in the iconic grounds of the Hurlingham Club during Chestertons Polo In The Park.
Max is a regular face as part of London’s biggest polo festival, having captained England to victory against the USA in 2024 and Ireland in 2023. Milly Hine returns after victory for England against Argentina on Ladies Day in 2022, while Jack Hyde, who has represented England several times in international arena matches, makes his Polo In The Park England debut.
Argentina will be led by Alfredo Bigatti (7) with Manuel Plaza de Ayala (5) and Catalina Lavinia (2). Alfredo was part of the winning team for the Bryan Morrison Trophy in early 2025 when making his arena debut, with Argentina winning in extra time, while Catalina lost the battle against the England women’s team for the Diamond Jubilee trophy in June 2024.
England and Argentina last faced each other for this trophy in 2022, when the visitors sneaked to a victory in a run down after a 4-4 draw. After Argentina’s triumph in the Coronation Cup in 2024, England will be looking to settle the score at Hurlingham Park.
The event marks a historic occasion as the Hurlingham Polo Association celebrates 150 years since the first official polo rules were published in 1875, making this an unmissable event for polo fans.
