England will face the Commonwealth in two matches at Guards Polo Club on 29 July, in an unmissable day of international polo culminating in the King’s Coronation Cup.
Celebrating this historic coronation year, two Commonwealth teams have been formed with players from several different countries, showcasing the incredible diversity of polo talent across the globe.
Starting the day, Young England will play the Commonwealth for The Whitbread Trophy. The home team will be vying to defend their title, having beaten Young Scotland to take this trophy home in 2022.
The principal match of the day will see the senior England team take on a Commonwealth team to play for the King’s Coronation Cup. This will be the highest level of polo played in Great Britain, with a handicap expected to be well in excess of 25 goals. Following the prize-giving for the King’s Coronation Cup, the Rick Parfitt Junior Band will take to the stage for a live concert, followed by a DJ to help guests party the evening away.
