Sir Charles (Cow) Williams would have been 89 yesterday but sadly died on Friday 19 November in Bayview Hospital in Barbados, to where he had been taken earlier last week. Sir Charles was elected as a Life Member of the HPA in 2016 and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. He was a great supporter of the English player in the high goal and his Apes Hill team won the Queen’s Cup in 2009. He played his last competitive game of polo in Barbados when he was 84.
He was a great friend to many in the polo world and was much admired and respected.
