We are sorry for the delay in sending out these joining instructions there was an issue with the arena data migration onto the new platform which took the developers longer than anticipated to fix.
As many of you will already be aware the HPA membership is now purchased directly from the HPA, not paid as part of your club subscription fee.
In order to play chukkas, matches or tournaments you must have the appropriate HPA membership and membership of an HPA Affiliated or provisionally affiliated club.
How to join
There are two ways to join.
If you have already logged into the membership platform (www.hpa.sport80.com ) and purchased your outdoor membership and also wish to play in the arena then please follow point 1. If you do not yet have an account/outdoor membership please follow point 2.
Please note all membership expires on 31. 03. 2019.
- Current 2019 outdoor HPA Member. As a current member of the HPA you are entitled to equivalent arena membership is at no extra cost. Before you play in the arena you must let the HPA know that you intend to play and at which club you will be a member.
To do this please login to your profile at www.hpa.sport80.com under your name there should be a tab that says ‘Membership’ select this, then on the right select ‘Add Membership’ > ‘Arena Season Add On’ do NOT select ‘Arena Membership’. You will be asked a few questions and your selected club will be sent an approval e-mail. Once the club has approved you, confirming you are also a member with them, you will receive a welcome e-mail. Depending on your membership type you will also receive a membership pack in the post.
- Not a current outdoor HPA Member. If you have not been a member of the HPA this summer season but have been a member before you may already have an account carried over from the previous HPA database.
To log-in please go to www.hpa.sport80.com and select forgotten password, providing we have the correct e-mail address on file for you this will allow you to set a password and login to your account. If this doesn’t work please contact the HPA at enquiries@hpa-polo.co.uk and we can let you know if we just require your e-mail address or if you do not yet have an account.
Once you are logged in please go to ‘Memberships’ > ‘Add Membership’ > ‘Arena Membership’ complete the membership form and pay (subscription prices are based on outdoor membership fees moved up one handicap). Your selected arena club will then be sent an approval e-mail, once your membership is approved you will be sent a welcome e-mail and membership pack.
Not played for a number of years, new to polo or no account.
If we do not have an account for you because you haven’t played for a number of years or you are a completely new member then please create a new account at www.hpa.sport80.com. You will only be allowed to purchase chukka membership, if you wish to have a handicap to enable you to play in matches an tournaments you must pass the HPA rules test or if returning after a few years out of playing the HPA require a CV form before you will be able to purchase your handicap.
