Home Grown Players (HGPs)
All players that hold a British or Irish passport are classed as HGPs. These can be searched for using the Nationality search term above.
In addition, some players do not hold a British or Irish passport but do qualify as HGP based on the information they have provided to the HPA. Any applications to the HPA that are found to include incorrect information that would mean that the player did not in fact meet the HGP criteria will normally result in disciplinary action to the individual concerned, and any team that relied on this HGP status shall be disqualified. Please be aware that Home Grown Player status does not grant a player permission to work in the UK. Players will be required to confirm their immigration status when obtaining HPA membership. This list below is temporary and will be incorporated into the search function shortly.
